FreeBMD is an ongoing project, the aim of which is to transcribe the Civil Registration index (from Sep 1837) of births, marriages and deaths for England and Wales, and to provide free Internet access to the transcribed records. It is a part of the FreeUKGEN family, which also includes FreeCEN (1881 UK Census data) and FreeREG (Parish Registers).

Hi am looking for a John Millar born 28 nov ,in Ormiston east lothian Scotland ,mother Robina Millar ,had his name adopted to Munro ,adoptive father George Munro ,who married the above Robina Millar .He was born Jonathon Millar father unknown .jonathon was in the 1861 census living in Ormiston with the Munros , but not on the 1871 census .need help
